It is our pleasure at the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) to launch the Call for the 2027 Grant Cycle. Applications can be submitted from October 1 to November 10, 2026, with recommendations being due on November 16.
Asian Cultural Council provides fellowships and grants to individuals and organizations working in various fields as a means of cultural exchange between the U.S. and Asia, as well as within Asia. In doing so, it allows participants to break out of their usual routine, immerse themselves in new cultures, gain a wider perspective, and form connections with like-minded people across borders. Having undergone the fellowship or grant, participants join the ACC alumni network.

Purpose and Benefits of ACC Announces Grants and Fellowships for 2027 Fellowship
There are four categories of grants that ACC provides in pursuit of their objectives
- New York Fellowship: For a span of six months, a mixed group of artists, scholars and arts professionals from Asia travel to the United States and become immersed in a new cultural environment, where the experience broadens their perspective and influences the development of their art practice. This unique opportunity to step out of their routine work for some time to reflect, explore and communicate without having to create anything is truly invaluable.
- Individual Fellowship: Having a more flexible timeframe of one to six months, artists, scholars and arts professionals from both Asia and the United States conduct research and self-exploration in an unfamiliar environment. Individual fellowship may also be a joint fellowship for up to three participants.
- Graduate Fellowship: This provides financial assistance to graduates from Asia who wish to study for degrees which cannot be pursued in the Asia region, within the U.S. This is an academic type of fellowship but through the learning process of a new environment, they get exposed to new ideas as well.
- Organization Grant: This allows arts and culture institutions based in Asia and the U.S. to engage in activities that will deepen their knowledge on a particular subject or field of practice. Requirements for ACC Grants and Fellowships Announced for 2027 Year Global Grants and Fellowships Fellowship Eligibility ACC seeks applicants who can demonstrate how their artistic and/or academic projects will fulfill our mission through immersive experience.
